Clean Iced Coffee Recipe

Everyone knows I’m obsessed with Starbucks. But my husband is obsessed with Dave Ramsey, and that usually wins out. I’ve been trying to cut down on the starbies trips, so I learned to make a super satisfying coffee drink at home with help from my nutritional therapist and I’ve finally perfected the way I like it!

This is the coffee recipe I use almost every day. It tastes great and it doesn’t have any yucky stuff in it. I have made it hot and iced and it’s still good either way. Feel free to tweak based on your own preferences!

Coffee Recipe:

In a large cup, add:

-4 oz Starbucks Cold Brew Concentrate

-4 oz hot or cold water

-1 Scoop Protein Powder (I use Levels Grass Fed Whey in Vanilla, because it has 24g of protein,  no hormones, no GMOs, no added sugars, no soy, no gluten, no bleach, no fillers, and no artificial flavors or sweeteners. But you can really use any flavor or brand)

Then, you’ll want to use an electric coffee frother to mix it all up together. I’ve found that a spoon doesn’t really do a great job of stirring everything up so this is a necessary tool in my opinion. (My favorite is this one, it’s super affordable too!)

Next, after your protein is all mixed into your coffee, add as much full fat organic half and half as you prefer.

Usually, I’ll stop there because the protein powder does a great job sweetening and flavoring the coffee. But some days when I have a little bit more of a sweet tooth, I’ll add in a splash of maple syrup.

Mix it up once again with the frother (this is when it gets really frothy and creamy which makes it taste AMAZING!) and you’re all done. If you try this recipe, be sure to let me know what you think!
